Time to head on out to a restaurant to eat I think.
We ate at the Pirates house and had our own little room finally all to ourselves. No ghosts seen though. It’s one of the oldest houses in Savannah and supposedly haunted by it it Bluebeard?!
We also ate at Vic’s. Deliciousness in the form of tiny home made biscuits shrimp and grits and a fabulous desert.
Tracy of Art in the mountains loved this sketch. The more I look at it I do too. I know better than to draw the background before people sit at the tables but sometimes I just can’t wait. And if I ruined the sketch why not draw people on it as they arrived. Can’t hurt it can it?!
I was trying out a technique used by Ronald Searles in his Paris Paris book where he draws right over whatever is behind it when he does street and restaurant scenes. I actually used a sepia pen and a black ink pen. Kind of fun but can’t decide how in the world to paint it.
Margaret getting ready to pack it in and head to Atlanta for Henry’s sixth birthday. How is that possible?!! Xoxoxox

Our new trash man who came for a visit last nite.
Margaret playing with her grandkids in the WNC mountains. XOXOXO
John one of our models in Savannah in my sketchbook. His hat is really a bit too high on his head. Oops.

The sketch 2 with notes on how
A very sweet lady. She paid for our models John and Carver to stay at one of the local Holiday Inns for over a week. How nice was that?! Otherwise they would have crashed wherever they could.
The sketch. It really looks like Megan.

I think I will only paint veggies. Back to Glow on Netflix. Binge time. Love those Glow ladies.
The peanut gallery has some critique to make. 🤗 aka my friends who I txt about our watercolors and paintings.
Going to have to be a little more deliberate with my brush strokes aka don’t break it to fix it because I spent a lot of time today fixing it. Never a good idea.
I lightened up Barney aka the eggplant a lot by wetting it and blotting it with a Kleenex.
Also added sloppy dots here and there. There are three in this photo. So much easier than painting a la Charles.
Zoe pic of the day.

This is a half sheet of fluid. The same thing I painted the nude of Emily on Saturday. So what happened. Not a clue.
I got hard lines. I am going to eat that big purple Barney of an eggplant. I knew I shoulda erased it.
When I tried to lift I got blooms. Oh and there’s that nice run from the Apple to the lemon NOT!! Yuck.
