Spend the pandemic than virtual painting travel with Vlad Yesilesev

St. Martin du Mont
Almost done. Had to put my light pole back in. Oopsey.

Before I scraped the light pole in.
This paper loves to be scraped. Not sure what it is. Thinking 300# Kilimanjaro cold press.
I scratched the pole in with an xacto knife point. Doesn’t leafs work well but this paper loves it. I don’t like the way the same knife acts on Fabriano or arches.

I used gel pens because I had bought some a while back from amazon to use for Vlads class.
The prince is done with Pentel gel pens primarily orange white navy and a fav of purple and gold plus a fine sepia Pitt pen and a red Academy pilot pen. No red gel pen. Done in my Stillman and Birn Alpha. One more page!!! Wooohooo. New one waiting.

However this wandered in the house attached to a very wet Amazon delivery. So I tossed it on the floor for a birds eye view and got out my new box of 12 carat d’ache neocolor ii watercolor crayons, always fun to draw with.

she’s not made an appearance I my current sketchbook and it’s almost full so thought it was fine.

first wash.

To an onion you know you have been alone too long. Told it I had drawn a really great picture of it before I copped it up for ratatouille. I even cried. Onions always make me cry when I cut them up. 🤣
