These are done by drawing the large shapes first then the details. I am bad abt starting with the outline and details then filling it in like a color book so trying to change. If Mary Whyte can draw the big shapes first so can i?!

Seven to go. Used three pens. Lamy Ef or a micro uniball and sometimes a white pentel gel pen.

Can scarcely believe I am keeping up. 18 days now and 18 drawings. That’s a first for me.

This one is made with cerulean with a bit of dioxzine purple mixed in. Once I ran the wash I added very diluted yellow ochre, neutral tint and alizarin mixed w a dab or dioxzine purple here and there.
I let it sit til the sheen went off the wash and splattered it with water. Not enough obviously.
I will probably use this one on my fox painting.
Maybe tomorrow I will try out some buildings on it. Ultimate procrastinator now, aren’t I?

VI. Thou shall remind other people that they can draw even if they think they can’t.
VII. Thou shall not judge too harshly.
VIII. I 8 a dead horse.
IX. Thou shall draw on the Sabbath, but not only on the Sabbath.
X. Thou shall not make lists with more than IX things in them.
Margaret xoxoxox who needs to follow them. Been a little slack lately but I did get my art supplies straightened out. Yeah.
Arches 280# cold press paper Cheap Joe’s American Journey paint colors indigo, ultramarine, burnt sienna, dioxzine, quin gold and lots of water.
A fun painting to do. I could change several things and betting I will do another one with green fir trees next time.
What would I work on?! Less striped sky. Better firs. But all in all I like it. 
Masking the birch trees to preserve the whites before I started painting. 
I would wear rubber gloves. Eeek. Time for scrubby dubby.
Also might try using some of these paints on another one. “. L-R Daniel Smith Payne’s Grey, Cheap Joe’s Payne’s Grey and Cheap Joes Moonglow
Love the blues in the Daniel Smith and all the purples and blues in the moonglow. Last one is so yum.

Drawing each icon of their country for 60 seconds each with Danny Gregory today on YouTube. He had a slide show of each of the icons that let you view it for 60 seconds. Then on to the next one.
Quite the challenge. Also trying to get them all on one page was a challenge. Eeek. And no time to plan. Double eeek.
So not bad considering EXCEPT the first time I didn’t realize it was suppose to be on ONE page. I used SIX!! 
These are quite large. The sketchbook – a handprint journal is 5 1/2x 8″.
This set was drawn with my pentel brush pen which is always fun but makes a big thick line. I only used two colors. Quin gold and cobalt teal. Together they made a great mucky green. 
So second time around I used my Namiki fude. Love drawing with them making thin or thick lines easily. Check out the weird tip on it. Does a great job.
No I didn’t cheat. I didn’t pause the video either time except to get the dog in. And then I started it right back up. 
It’s time for pot kitties again. They have grown a lot. Halley looks gorgeous with an orange glow from the sunset on her back.

Chased around after the kitties drawing them today. There’s always something that gets their interest. Sometimes it’s me. Hmm.
Ps fixed the spelling of kitties. But too lazy to take another picture. Now comfy on the sofa.
What is she doing?! I know that’s what they are thinking. Didn’t someone have fun with Hallie’s marking??
Yesterday I lifted tails of everyone but the tigers. One male the black two females the torties. Like calicoes torties are almost always female and bring good luck.
My torties are named for Halloween. Hallie and Weenie. Weenie and Tootsie are quite friendly. Thinking he might need a rename but what?? Hallie is coming around. Tigers as shy as ever.
Lots of baking going on today. Snickerdoodles and quiche or a frittata since I leave off the crust.
I drew the recipes in my recipe sketchbook but letting the ink dry over nite before i color them.
Ok lazy Tahred woman fixed it.

Well maybe. Table Clutter. I thought this was done til I looked at the glass. Def needs something but on the whole I like the rest of it a lot. Before U worry I have IT, I don’t. Just allergic to myself in a good day. Kerchoo.
Namiki Fude pen watercolor pencils
I think Z looks oh so much better colored don’t you?! Watercolor pencils. That cad orange really has some zing to it.
Margaret sad because I just heard one of my fav watercolor teachers has Covid. Be careful wear a mask stay out of large crowds. Wash your hands. Stay off of beaches!!

No Vlad paint along today. I was all set. He’s sick. Hope he’s well by Tuesday. He lives in Florida – not a good place to be right now.
