That Notre Dame is burning. A rose window gone. One of the towers on fire as I type.
You don’t have to be catholic to know that this is one of the earths most holy spots.
I drew these when we were in Paris four years ago. We thought the November bombings that happened while we were there were horrific but this … leaves me speechless and close to tears.
I think we need a go fund me for the Cathedral.
Pray for Notre Dame.

But we WILL try. Not the same but it’s the place itself that is holy I think not just the building. It has a power unlike any other French cathedral I went into. And I LOVE gothic cathedrals so I went in everyone I could.

We suffered the loss of the Glasgow school of art for the second time this year. It was bring restored after a devastating fire. It has breathtaking work by Charles rennie macintosh. It set on fire for a second time. Even worse damage. They are going to start again. I think

Merci beaucoup pour votre soutien. J’étais à Paris au moment où l’incendie c’est déclaré et j’ai vu les voitures de pompiers qui se dirigeaient vers le centre.
Je suis profondément choquée de voir disparaître ces siècles d’histoire de l’humanité. Je suis allée plusieurs fois me recueillir et admirer cette cathédrale et tous les trésors qu’elle renferme et j’espère que les hommes qui luttent pour la sauver réussiront à éteindre le feu

I am deeply shocked to see these centuries of history of humanity disappear. I have been several times to collect and admire this cathedral and all the treasures it contains and I hope that the men who fight to save it will succeed in extinguishing the fire

Cest ne rien. My heart breaks for Paris. I LOVE that place too. It’s a world treasure and just magical. I know the world will repair rebuild the treasure.
